What to Include in Your Listing
The best-performing job listings share a few things in common. They are specific about what they offer and what they expect. Based on what teachers tell us they want to see, include:
- A clear hourly or monthly salary range — vague phrases like "competitive pay" get fewer clicks
- Student age group and class size — teachers want to know if they will be teaching children, teenagers, or adults
- Required certification level — be upfront about whether TESOL, CELTA, or a degree is mandatory
- Peak teaching hours — teachers planning their schedules need to know if your time zone aligns with theirs
